  1. Playing Format:
    1. Team Presentation: A team is expected to present a legal line-up on the lanes five minutes prior to the scheduled starting time for each match. Once the line-up is entered it cannot be changed except for substitutes.
Uniforms: All Players must wear the same sleeved, bowling shirt which conforms to school and conference regulations. At minimum, the shirt must have the name of the school on the back. The capital letters of which are no smaller than 2" in height. The shirt may also include the school logo/mascot. No Jeans!
-Any bowler that is not in uniform shall not participate in league competition!
    2. Practice Balls: There will be a ten-minute practice on the starting pair of lanes. Substitutes may practice also. Bowlers are not permitted to bowl on the same day, prior to a competition, in the bowling center where the competition is to be held.
-Bowlers that did not bowl the first game and are going in for the second game are entitled to two practice balls on each lane
-Bowlers that did not bowl in the second game and are going in for the first baker game are also entitled to two practice balls on each lane
-Once the Baker games have begun there will be no more practice balls.
    3. Format: Round #1 will consist of 5 bowlers bowling two games of regular bowling using the league style cross lane bowling format. Round #2 will consist of five Baker games with five players bowling two frames per game. Substitutes will be allowed in Round #2, but once a player is removed from the line-up, they cannot return to the line-up in Round #2. (After the competition of Round #1, the total pin fall can be put into the automatic scorer as handicap. This will allow everyone to know exactly how the match stands up to the completion of Round #2.) The team with the highest total (Round #1 and Round #2 combined) pin fall is the winner of the match.
    4. Ties: In case of a tie at the end of the scheduled match, a one game Baker system roll-off will determine the winner. In case of a tie at the end of the season, teams will be named Co-Champs.
    5. Eligibility: Students bowling in the WOHSBC must maintain amateur status, meaning that they cannot participate or substitute in any type of bowling activity where money or merchandise awards are offered to any participant on the basis of bowling score, bowling skill, or position. This includes bowling as a regular or a substitute on any adult league. Students may, until or unless in violation of OHSAA rules, participating in outside USBC YOUTH sanctioned bowling leagues and/or tournaments during the school season. OHSAA eligibility rules apply in those areas not covered in these rules. Any question regarding eligibility should be referred to the OHSBC.
    6. Substitutes: A coach may substitute a player prior to the start of any regular game or baker game. However, once removed from the line-up, the removed player(s) may not re-enter play until the start of the next regular game or baker game. A player removed prior to the start of any game is re-classified as a substitute bowler and may be used as a substitute bowler in any spot in the team line-up upon legal return to play. Exception: a coach may substitute a player during any game for disciplinary or injury cause(s)/.reasons the player removed for such cause(s)/reasons by a coach is not permitted to return to the line-up for the remainder of the match and is not permitted to participate in any other match that day.
    7. Baker Games: A coach may change his/her line-up (order of bowling) prior to the start of any baker game.
    8. Participation Limits: Players may be moved between varsity and reserve varsity teams at the discretion of the coach. The maximum number of matches in which a bowler may participate during the season is the number of regular season matches for the varsity team. Bowling a frame in any game shall constitute a match. Scrimmages are exempt from this count. No player may compete on a school varsity and school reserve varsity team simultaneously during a meet/match.
    9. Fill Ball Substitution: A coach may utilize a non-participating team member to throw a fill ball on the third (3rd) ball in the tenth (10th) frame of any regular or baker game. Use of a non-participating team member for the purpose will not reclassify the fill ball bowler as a roster bowler in the line-up of that game nor will the fill ball bowler result in a violation. A non-participating team member may only throw on (1) fill ball in any regular or baker game. In a regular game, the pin count of the fill ball bowler will count in the average of the regular line-up bowler. A bowler used to throw a regular game fill ball may re-enter the match as a roster player prior to the start of any baker game.
    10. Forfeits: When a match is declared forfeited, the members present must bowl the first two games in Round #1, as if the match were actually contested. The scores bowled by all eligible players shall be included in the conference records and will qualify for all conference (and USBC YOUTH) individual awards.

      2. All bowlers will remain in the immediate bowling area while competition is in progress.
      3. Bowlers will be expected to follow the previous bowler promptly and will be required to bowl as soon as the one lane to their right is clear.
      4. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not restricted to deliberate foot fouls, vulgar language, or abuse of equipment of facilities is not permitted.
      5. The foul line shall be observed during match play. Awards will not be issued if automatic foul detecting devices or a human foul judge is not used. When a player deliberately fouls, the player shall receive zero pin fall for that delivery and shall not be allowed any further deliveries in that frame.
      6. The coach(es) league officials and participating bowlers are the only persons authorized to be in the bowler's area during a match. Substitutes and other interested parties must remain behind the area defined as the bowler's area.
